Darnold Arryn was the Lord of the Eyrie, Defender of the Vale, Warden of the East, and the head of House Arryn at the beginning of the reign of King Jaehaerys I Targaryen.[1]
History
Lord Arryn was present at the wedding of Lord Rogar Baratheon and Dowager Queen Alyssa Velaryon in 49 AC, but it is unknown if this was Darnold.[3]
In 54 AC, Lord Darnold and his brother, Ser Rymond, were killed at the hands of mountain clan raiders they had unwisely pursued into the Mountains of the Moon. He was succeeded as Lord of the Eyrie by his nephew, the ten-year-old Rodrik.[1]
Family
The relation between Darnold and Rymond and Lord Hubert Arryn has not been stated in the text. Timeline wise, they likely were two of his six sons with his Royce wife, however.
