The Iron Throne

The Iron Throne,^[1] previously known under the working title Harrenhal,^[2] is an upcoming A Song of Ice and Fire Broadway play written by Duncan MacMillan.

Production history

The development of the play was first reported in March 2021. Developed by George R. R. Martin, written by Duncan MacMillan, produced by Simon Painter, Tim Lawson, Vince Gerardis, and Jonathan Sanford, and directed by Dominic Cooke, it was originally expected to make its debut in 2023,^[3] but has been delayed to late 2024.^[4]

Plot

The plot centers around the tourney at Harrenhal in the year of the false spring.^[3]
