Joffrey Dayne was a knight of House Dayne during the reign of Aegon I Targaryen.[1][2]
History
In 10 AC during the First Dornish War, King Aegon I Targaryen's attempt to conquer Dorne, Lord Fowler captured Nightsong. When Ser Addam Hightower led a strong host to retake the castle, Ser Joffrey marched an army from Starfall to Oldtown. Unable to breach the city's walls, Joffrey had the fields, farms, and villages burned for twenty leagues around the city.[1][2] When Lord Manfred Hightower's younger son Garmon led a sortie against Dayne, Joffrey slew the boy. By the time Addam returned to Oldtown, Joffrey's army had melted back into the Red Mountains.[2]
In response to Ser Joffrey's attack, Queen Visenya Targaryen and her dragon, Vhagar, burned Starfall.[1][2]
