The Lord of Lordsport[1][2][3] is a title held by the head of House Botley, the ruler of Lordsport.[1]

Lord Botley was killed by westermen during Lady Johanna Lannister's invasion of the Iron Islands in 134 AC.[4]

Lord Sawane Botley bought a difficult horse at Lannisport in 298 AC.[5]

Recent Events

A Clash of Kings

Lord Sawane sells the horse to Theon Greyjoy, who gives it the name Smiler.[5]

A Storm of Swords

Sawane stands against Euron Greyjoy and claims that the Seastone Chair belongs to Theon after King Balon Greyjoy's death. Euron Crow's Eye has Sawane drowned for that.[6] Germund Botley pledges fealty to Euron, inheriting his brother's lordship instead of his nephews, and retaining the part of the Botley lands that are not awarded to Lord Waldon Wynch for his support.[7]

A Feast for Crows

During the kingsmoot, Tristifer Botley, Sawane's second son and the lawful Lord of Lordsport, supports Balon's daughter, Asha Greyjoy, while Germund is one of Euron's champions.[8][2]

Lord Germund participates in the ironborn raid on the Shield Islands. He is spotted by Victarion Greyjoy in the hall of Lord Hewett's castle with a rope of pearls around his neck.[9]

A Dance with Dragons

After Euron is proclaimed King of the Isles and the North at the kingsmoot, Tristifer sails on his longship to Deepwood Motte with three others of Asha's as she contemplates her next move.[10]

Tristifer proposes that the ironborn under Asha abandon Westeros and try to make their fortune as traders. When northern mountain clansmen approach Deepwood, Asha abandons the castle and leads her ironborn toward the Bay of Ice. Traveling in the wolfswood, Tristifer refuses to sleep with Hagen's daughter. They are defeated in the fight by Deepwood Motte by Stannis Baratheon's men, however.[10] While Asha is taken by Stannis for his march on Winterfell, Tris and the other ironborn survivors are imprisoned at Deepwood.[11]

The ironborn at Deepwood are eventually ransomed from Lady Sybelle Glover by Tycho Nestoris, an envoy of the Iron Bank of Braavos. They escort him to Stannis, whose army is encamped at a crofters' village.[12]
