After King Jaehaerys I Targaryen turned sixteen and began to rule in his own right, he replaced the Red Keep's master of horse.[3]

Lord Ashford's master of horse refused to buy Sweetfoot from Ser Duncan the Tall, but he referred the young knight to the stableman Henly, who purchased her.[2]
