The Painted Dogs are one of the Vale mountain clans of the Mountains of the Moon,[1] according to Archmaester Arnel's Mountain and Vale.[2]

History

Roland I Arryn, the fourth King of Mountain and Vale, was slain by Painted Dogs during winter.[3]

Some maesters believe that the Burned Men began as an offshoot clan of the Painted Dogs.[3]
