Robyn Rhysling was a knight from House Rhysling during the reign of King Daeron II Targaryen.[2]

Appearance

Robyn was a grizzled old knight with a salt-and-pepper beard. He had lost his eye to a splinter from a broken lance five years before the tourney at Ashford Meadow.[2]

History

The Tourney at Ashford Meadow

At the Ashford tourney, Ser Robyn Rhysling challenged Lord Leo Longthorn to a tilt. He lost his helm to Lord Leo's lance in their first course, but refused to yield. Three times more they rode at each other, yet Leo Tyrell was too chivalrous to aim another lance at Ser Robyn's unprotected head. Finally, the Lord of Highgarden struck Robyn's breastplate with a solid thump right over the heart and sent him cartwheeling to the earth.[2]

Prince Aegon Targaryen brought Robyn to Ser Duncan the Tall's side during the trial of seven, having known him from previous tourneys. He knocked Prince Daeron Targaryen from his horse the first pass.[2]
