Rosamund was a possible marriage candidate for Aegon III. Not long after the ball known as the Maiden's Day Cattle Show was announced, Rosamund was rumored to have six nipples, as her mother had supposedly lain with a dog. She was one of the many maidens injured or scandalized, and suffered what was called the "Maiden's Day curse". It was likely these rumors were fabricated by Lord Unwin Peake, who wished to promote his own daughter as Aegon III's second queen.
