Allegiance last greenseer
Race children of the forest
Book A Dance with Dragons (appears)

Snowylocks is one of the children of the forest in service to the last greenseer. Her true name is too long for the human tongue, according to Leaf.[1]

Appearance and Character

Snowylocks is white-haired.[1] Like the other children of the forest, she is smaller than humans, but not childlike. She has nut-brown skin, dappled like a deer's with paler spots. Her hands have only three fingers and a thumb, with sharp black claws instead of nails. She has large ears that can hear things that no man can hear.[1] She has large golden eyes slitted like those of a cat,[2] allowing her to see in dark passages.[1]

She does not speak the Common Tongue.[1]

A Dance with Dragons

In the cave of the three-eyed crow beyond the Wall, Bran Stark and his companions Meera and Jojen Reed meet a remnant of the children of the forest, who serve the last greenseer, Lord Brynden. Their names are too long for the human tongue, according to Leaf, so Bran and Meera give them names. Meera names Snowylocks for the color of her hair. Bran does not know what Snowylocks thinks about her new name.[1]

When Brynden says it is time for Bran to awaken his gifts as a greenseer, Leaf beckons, and Snowylocks brings forth a weirwood bowl carved with a dozen faces, like the ones the heart trees wear. Inside the bowl is a white weirwood seed paste, thick and heavy, with dark red veins running through it. Snowylocks hands the bowl to Leaf to give to Bran to eat.[1]
