Dornish Marches?
Where are the Swanns said to reside in the Dornish Marches? I know its borders aren't precisely known, but it looks to me like Stonehelm is considerably east of that region, especially if you look at a map of all Westeros instead of the one on the Stormlands page. --Ser_Aeron_Connel 05:19, 11 April 2012 (UTC)
- In A Dance with Dragons-Chapter 8 a member of House Swann is called "son of a marcher lord". I'll add the reference. Scafloc 06:41, 11 April 2012 (UTC)

- Maybe "house in the stormlands, located in Cape Wrath, in the Red Watch." would work better, even if the area considered part of the Dornish Marches. Otherwise it may seem sound like its a dornish house. --Mor 09:47, 11 April 2012 (UTC)
- The Dornish Marches are not in Dorne but in the Stormlands (and perhaps the Reach?). GRRM probably used the w:Welsh Marches as an example. The Welsh marches was a region in Wales which did not fall under the authority of the native Welsh rulers but under Anglo-Norman lords who had conquered it from them. The English marchers lords had extra privileges as possibly the Stormland marcher lords may have. The article already links to Dornish Marches where it is explained that the region is part of the Stormlands despite the name. Why don't we add an extra category to the Template Houses from the Stormlands as an extra clarification? Scafloc 10:29, 11 April 2012 (UTC)
- TBH, I am dont know the exact layout of the Dornish Marches, I cant say if Stonehelm located there or they simply control some lands in the Dornish Marches. So until you can figure it out, I have edited the lead of the article which IMO is a little better. --Mor 11:43, 11 April 2012 (UTC)

Arms
All I can find for the arms in A Clash of Kings is "the battling black-and-white swans of his House" (referring to Balon Swann). "Counterchanged" seems logical but there is no mention of the field, and "beaks and feet golden" seems to be plucked out of nowhere. What sources are there for all this? - Is that source considered canonical? If not, where does its information come from?(BTW I found another source: A Dance with Dragons-Chapter 38 mentions Balon Swann's brooch of ivory and onyx swans, but still no yellow beaks and feet and there is no field to mention.)
