Title

Does GRRM ever call this event the "Sack of Astapor"? It might be better to move it to fall of Astapor. In A Storm of Swords-Chapter 42 GRRM writes, "Blood aplenty had soaked into the bricks of Astapor the day that city fell" and "One of the first things Dany had done after the fall of Astapor ..." Well, as we all here must be familiar with concept of "POV writing", it might be noteworthy that in A Storm of Swords-Chapter 42 GRRM writes the thoughts of Daenerys Targaryen on the subject, not his own. It's fairly obvious that the character Daenerys woukldn't think of the event as a "sack". Therefore, this cannot be used as an argument about how he, GRRM, addresses the event, as through the point of view of other character it could be changed.
It must be noted that while we do not have an official term that refers to the event, referring to it as "Sack" has become the most popular denomination among the fans and it comes closer to what actually happened in the city. This may be discussed further, but at least an automatic redirecting link should exist, I believe. Felipe Bini 02:36 2 December 2014 (UTC)
