Valonqar has been stated to mean "little brother", so why does this page include a number of females to fill the position? Perhaps some explanation should be added for that inclusion.--Rhaenys_Targaryen (talk) 04:29, 19 April 2015 (CDT)

High Valyrian is gender-neutral. Hence Maester Aemon's realization that the "prince which was promised" could also be a princess. Archaeology (talk) 16:39, 20 April 2015 (CDT)
High Valyrian is not stated to be gender neutral necessarily. Maester Aemon speaks of dragons being male and then female, and says that the error crept in from translation, where the Prince that was Promised is concerned... But that in no way is a confirmation that High Valyrian is gender neutral for every word ;) Important difference. --Rhaenys_Targaryen (talk) 17:04, 20 April 2015 (CDT)
Well, that certainly explains a lot of things (were years and years since I read the books) Archaeology (talk) 06:46, 21 April 2015 (CDT)
