Lenght of articles

Hi I noticed your remark on the Talk:Aegon Targaryen page. There was an ongoing discussion about the length of articles so I took the liberty of referencing and linking your remark to this discussion. Feel free to add further thoughts! Scafloc 21:54, 10 March 2013 (UTC)

Palanquin page

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the palanquin references, it may not be your style, or of interest to you how many times Dany rode in a palanquin - but it may well be to other readers out there.

There’s so much description in the ASOIAF series that it’s very easy to miss so many things, some details may be a dead bore to you but not to other readers. A wiki page for a particular topic – even on something like palanquins - helps to highlight things one may fail to notice when reading. I myself enjoy very minor descriptions, no everyone will, but there are bound to be other readers who do also.

Everyone who contributes to the wiki is bound to have different ideas and opinions on what is best way of presenting information. I do appreciate that there is a danger of pages on the wiki becoming excessive but I do not think that the palanquin page is excessive and, most importantly for the wiki, it is not hard to read, so I prefer to keep it with the additional detail. I think if a reader looks at a page dedicated to a certain topic on the wiki and thinks to themselves “I never noticed that” then I think it helps add to their enjoyment and appreciation of the series.
