I love the new article you created, its very well written and adds some very interesting points. I have added it to the "cultures" category, so we can use it more easily in the infoboxes. --Mor 18:35, 5 April 2012 (UTC)
- Thank you! I've always wondered why there wasn't a page dedicated to these guys. I would have put the citations in there, but I don't have my own copy of ADwD yet (waiting for the paperback!), so much of it is currently impossible for me to cite. Not categorizing the page was a definite oversight on my part; thanks for correcting it! 14:26, 5 April 2012 (GMT -6)
- Dont worry about it, articles don't have to be perfect, we do what we can and I was glad to help with the little I did. (Btw, to place a signature either click the signature button or manually type --~~~~, it will auto generate the signature when you preview/save). --Mor 20:45, 5 April 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for your contributions!
Hey there, I'm Ran, the fellow who runs Westeros.org. You've done some amazing work with your contributions. It's much appreciated! The more people who help out, the better for all the fans of ASoIaF out there. --Ran 22:02, 14 April 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for the encouragement! I'd hoped people didn't think I was going overboard on the Great House info compilations - I think it's really handy to have all of the members' agendas shown together, so I've gone ahead and done just that. I actually can't see my own contributions list for some reason (I'm probably going about it wrong somehow), but I'm glad you appreciate my work. --Ser_Aeron_Connel 07:49, 17 April 2012 (UTC)
I think it's a good idea, I have done something similar for few of the smaller houses. The way I see it as long as I write the entry from the house perspective and not just repeat the same info from the individual members pages, this provides a nice overview of house involvement and/or how the various events effected it. --Mor 20:46, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
You are right. It was moved there by recently by me, I was distracted at work and picked the wrong tab, moving House Gardener to Mern IX Gardener instead of Mern Gardener, I fixed it, thanks for pointing out. --Mor 20:38, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
War of the Five Kings
Nice edit on the War of the Five Kings. I have been building it for a while, hoping for someone with better english than mine to bring it to presentable status ;)
Thanks! I had an hour off from the writing center on campus, so I decided to keep doing what I'd been doing, haha. --Ser_Aeron_Connel 22:17, 28 April 2012 (UTC)
To answer your question, I believe that this page may be of help to you Template:Featured_article. To be honest, the only problem with adding Feature articles is that someone need to take initiative with approving them, because the moment you guys decide which article to put up, I can do it in a sec, however my poor english grammar prevent me from making a decision regarding the articles is up to standard or not. If you want to do it I'll be glad to help you out with what I can. --Mor 04:53, 30 April 2012 (UTC)
Awesome! I don't know much about the coding for that, so it's really handy that you're good at that sort of thing. Why don't we make Stannis the new featured article? Others that could be done soon might be Tyrion, Arya, Melisandre, or Davos. --Ser_Aeron_Connel 21:34, 30 April 2012 (UTC)
I am fine with that, I have updated the 'Feature article' page to be more informative, and will try to help with articles. --Mor 14:43, 6 May 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for helping with Ned stark article (it's crazy how many POV's and major characters articles we have that are.. lets say incomplete;) ), one question though, why do you think that Eddard is not considered 'Lord Paramount of the North'? --Mor 22:15, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
It's not that I don't consider him as such, it's just that the actual title "Lord Paramount of the North" never appears in any of Martin's work, so I don't think it should be listed in his official titles. If it were to be used unofficially in the text of the article I'd have less of a problem with it. --Ser_Aeron_Connel 17:15, 16 May 2012 (UTC)
I thought that 'Lord Paramount' synonymous with 'high lord' of the great houses, if its not you are right and I'll have to amend a new entry I made, as well as hunt for some other instances of "Lord Paramount" whatever used on the wiki(I seen a few of them).--Mor 21:09, 16 May 2012 (UTC)
It is synonymous in informal usage amongst fans (who usually say "Lords Paramount" or "Great Lords"), but the only actual, canon, in-universe title similar to it is "Lord Paramount of the Trident." That's the reason I delete it when I see it listed as an official title. --Ser_Aeron_Connel 01:48, 18 May 2012 (UTC)
I agree that its not officially mentioned, but since GRRM has coined the title "Lord Paramount of the Trident", its part of the universe, shouldn't we be able to extrapolate it for the rest of the "high lord", even though GRRM hasnt provided us with a full list of titles i.e. "This is the will and word of Robert of House Baratheon, ... and all the rest-put in the damn titles, you know how it goes". --Mor 02:39, 18 May 2012 (UTC)
I don't know; it seems to me the Trident title serves to give the Tullys something else besides just "Lord of Riverrun", so that puts them on equal footing with the other regional overlords. I think we know Robert's titles though (King of the Andals, the Rhoynar and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms, Protector of the Realm), as those are the royal titles listed whenever kings are formally introduced. It just seems to me like a phrase that can be used for ease of conversation since GRRM didn't differentiate between the degrees of nobility, but not something that should be considered official. --Ser_Aeron_Connel 17:22, 18 May 2012 (UTC)
Thanks... I left some work unfinished on the House Baratheon of King's Landing household.--Gonzalo 07:07, 18 May 2012 (UTC)
I have added an image to the Help:Moving_a_page, showing where the Move function is hiding. A thing to note when replacing a page, you should check the "What links here" to make sure you are not going to break anything. --Mor 20:20, 24 May 2012 (UTC)
