Viserys I was a king of the Seven Kingdoms. He ruled from 103 AL to 129 AL.
He had tree children by his first wife, but only one, his daughter Rhaenyra, lived until adulthood. Therefore Viserys decided she sould succeed him. He trained her for ruling and made her part of his small council.
Later in life he married again, with a Hightower and got several sons with her. Rhaenyra remained his heir, a decision he left in his will.
After his dead the eldest son of his second wife Aegon II was crowned by Lord Commander of the Kingsguard, Criston Cole. This led to a war between the sibblings, the Dance of the Dragons.
