Aegon Targaryen has been the name of several Targaryen kings of Westeros:
- Aegon I Targaryen (Aegon the Conqueror, Aegon the Dragon): Conqueror of the Seven Kingdoms, and first king of the Targaryen line;
- Aegon II Targaryen: Sixth Targaryen king. His rule was disputed by his elder sister;
- Aegon III Targaryen (Aegon the Dragonbane): Seventh Targaryen king;
- Aegon IV Targaryen (Aegon the Unworthy): Eleventh Targaryen king;
- Aegon V Targaryen (Aegon the Unlikely, Egg): Fifteenth Targaryen king;
Also, a few other members of the Targaryen royal family bore that name:
- Prince Aegon VI Targaryen, the son of Prince Rhaegar Targaryen, alleged true identity of Young Griff;
- Aegon Targaryen, Lord of Dragonstone before the War of Conquest and the son of Daenys Targaryen and Gaemon Targaryen;
