Aegon Targaryen has been the name of several Targaryen kings of Westeros:
- Aegon I Targaryen (Aegon the Conqueror, Aegon the Dragon): Conqueror of the Seven Kingdoms, and first king of the Targaryen line.
- Aegon II Targaryen: Sixth Targaryen king. His rule was disputed by his elder sister.
- Aegon III Targaryen (Aegon the Dragonbane): Seventh Targaryen king.
- Aegon IV Targaryen (Aegon the Unworthy): Eleventh Targaryen king.
- Aegon V Targaryen (Aegon the Unlikely, Egg): Fiftenth Targaryen king.
Also, at least another member of the Targaryen royal family bore that name:
- Prince Aegon Targaryen: The baby son of Prince Rhaegar Targaryen, whose skull was smashed against a wall during the Sack of King's Landing. He would have ruled as Aegon VI.
