Alyn Ambrose is a squire from House Ambrose. The son of Lord Arthur Ambrose[1] and Lady Alysanne Hightower,[2] Alyn is betrothed to Elinor Tyrell.[1]

Appearance and Character
Alyn is gangly.[3] He believes Elinor Tyrell's favor makes him fearless in battle.[1]
Recent Events
A Clash of Kings
As a squire, Alyn takes part in the Battle of the Blackwater, wearing Elinor Tyrell's favor. During the battle he kills a Myrish archer and a Mullendore man-at-arms. He shouts Elinor's name as his battle cry.[1]
A Storm of Swords
Elinor and Megga Tyrell tell Sansa Stark about Alyn's feats of arms at the Blackwater. Elinor and Alyn are to marry as soon as he is knighted.[1]
At the wedding feast for Sansa and Tyrion Lannister, Alyn dances with his betrothed. Sansa also dances with the squire, but after King Joffrey I Baratheon has threatened her, and Sansa fears Alyn must think her a clumsy dancer.[4]
