A Clash of Kings
He followed Lord Paxter Redwyne to King's Landing after the Battle of the Blackwater. He was assigned to the task of taking care of Tyrion Lannister, who has been seriously injured, at the request of Cersei Lannister. The former Hand of the King fired him because he suspects the maester received orders to kill him, Cersei having detained from a time the sons of Lord Redwyne as hostages. He was then be replaced by Maester Frenken.[3]
A Storm of Swords
After the death of the King Joffrey I, he performs the autopsy with the aid of Maester Frenken that refutes the theory of a suffocation with the pigeon pie. During the trial of Tyrion Lannister for the death of King Joffrey, he is called as a witness for the prosecution to present the findings of the autopsy.[4]
