Cheese is a dairy food found in the known world.

Culture

Cheese is often included with meals, such as breakfast[1] and supper.[2] Wedges[3] can be cut from wheels of cheese.[4] Cheese can be veined with wine.[5] Mold can grow on cheese.[6] Peppers stuffed with cheese is a food served in Dorne.[7][8] Bread and cheese can be offered as part of the guest right custom.[9]

Varieties of cheese include

Lackwits can be said to have cheese in their heads.[17][18] Tywin Lannister, Lord of Casterly Rock, looks down upon the merchant princes of the Free Cities, considering them cheese lords[19] and cheese kings.[20]

History

Cheesemakers prospered in the Seven Kingdoms during the reign of King Jaehaerys I Targaryen.[21]
