Daemon III Blackfyre was the eldest son of Haegon I Blackfyre.
History
Born in exile,[1] Daemon was the eldest son of Haegon Blackfyre, who was the fourth son of Daemon I Blackfyre.
Fourth Blackfyre Rebellion
Following the death of his father Haegon, and the escape of the Blackfyres' biggest supporter, Aegor Rivers, Daemon was crowned King by Rivers.[2] He led the Fourth Blackfyre Rebellion together with Aegor Rivers and the Golden Company and landed on Massey's Hook. Only few rallied to his banners, however. King Aegon V Targaryen rode out to meet him, with his three sons by his side. Eventually, in the Battle of Wendwater Bridge, Daemon was slain by the Kingsguard knight Ser Duncan the Tall. The Blackfyres suffered a shattering defeat.[3]
