Prince Daeron Targaryen, known as Daeron the Daring, was the third and youngest son of King Viserys I Targaryen and his second wife, Queen Alicent Hightower. He was also younger brother to King Aegon II. He rode the dragon Tessarion.[1]

Appearance & Character
Daeron was the most popular of the three sons of Viserys I and Queen Alicent. He was courteous and clever and was described as extremely handsome.[2]
History
Daeron was sent to serve as a cupbearer and squire at the age of 12 to Lord Ormund Hightower in Oldtown.[1][2]
Daeron saved the flanked Lord Hightower at the Battle on the Honeywine during the Dance of the Dragons. As a reward Daeron was knighted and dubbed Ser Daeron the Daring.[1]
Daeron died during the Second Battle of Tumbleton.[1]
Legacy
As Daeron's body was never identified, several pretenders claiming to be the Prince rose during the reign of Aegon III Targaryen. According to Yandel it is conclusively proved that these were imposters.[3]
