Galyeon is a big barrel-chested man. He is bald and has a black beard.[2]

Galyeon enters the tourney of singers that is planned for King Joffrey Baratheon's wedding to Margaery Tyrell. He sings a seventy-seven verses long song about the Battle of the Blackwater.[2]
