While patially based on material from the fourth and fifth books of the series A Song of Ice and Fire, A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons respectively, Season 6 of the television series Game of Thrones is also based on material originating from the unreleased sixth novel The Winds of Winter. As such, no synopsis for episodes will be made available on this page, in order to prevent spoilers.

Season 6 of Game of Thrones is the sixth season of the series. The series will consists of ten episodes and will air in 2016. The season is set to premiere in April, 2016.[1]

Season 6 is closely based on parts of the novels in the A Song of Ice and Fire series by George R. R. Martin.
