The girl bought to please the king is one of Illyrio Mopatis's slaves in his manse in Pentos.[1] Her given name is not mentioned.

Appearance and character

The girl is blond, blue-eyed, fair, and willowy.[1] She is a talkative girl, sixteen years of age, and is the favorite of Illyrio Mopatis.[2]

History

The girl was trained as a bed slave in Lys and was taught the Common Tongue at some point. She was bought to please the king, Illyrio Mopatis's one-time guest Viserys Targaryen, in the bedchamber.[1]

The girl and an older woman help bathe Daenerys Targaryen before the princess's introduction to Drogo. The young servant is envious that Daenerys will marry the powerful khal.[2]

A Dance with Dragons

After drinking at Illyrio's manse, Tyrion Lannister wakes to find the girl tending to him, having been told by Magister Illyrio Mopatis to bathe the dwarf and warm his bed.[1] Tyrion initially declines the girl's offer to sleep together. After thinking of the girl's revulsion for him, however, Tyrion reconsiders and disparages the girl.[1] When he joins Illyrio for supper, Tyrion tells the magister that the girl did all that was required of her.[1]
