The Tourney of the Hand is held in King's Landing to celebrate the naming of Eddard Stark as Hand of the King to Robert Baratheon. The tournament contests of a joust, melee and archery contest. The prizes are 40,000 gold dragons for the winner of the joust, 20,000 dragons for the runner-up of the joust, 20,000 dragons to the winner of the melee and 10,000 to the winner of the archery contest.
