House Fowler
Let Me Soar
Coat of arms A hooded blue hawk on silver
Seat Skyreach
Head Lord Franklyn Fowler
Region Dorne
Title Warden of the Prince's Pass
Overlord House Martell

House Fowler of Skyreach is a noble Dornish house. They hold the title of Wardens of the Prince's Pass, suggesting they are the most prominent house of the region.

The Fowlers joined Nymeria and House Martell when the rhoynish invaded Dorne. Since then they have an old feud with the Yronwoods, the Wardens of the Boneway, that fought against them.

The exact location of Skyreach on the Prince's Pass has not been disclosed.

Their words are "Let Me Soar". Their blazon has not appear on the books, but on non canon sources George R.R. Martin blazons it as a hooded blue hawk on silver.

The Fowler House at the end of the third century

The known Fowlers during the timespan of the events described on A Song of Ice and Fire are:

  • Lord Franklyn Fowler: Lord of Skyreach, Warden of the Prince's Pass, called "The Old Hawk".
    • Jeyne Fowler: His daughter. The first of the Fowler twins.
    • Jennelyn Fowler: His daughter. The second of the Fowler twins.

  • Nymeria Sand was abed with the Fowler twins when the news of his father's death reached her. Quoting the Fowler words, he asked Doran to "let her soar" and avenge Oberyn.
  • While prisoner in her tower, Arianne Martell decides to confide with Lord Franklyn Fowler among all the Dornish lords, because of his great power, the traditional rivalry between Fowlers and Yronwoods, and the fact that Nymera Sand was close to the Fowler twins.
  • Doran Martell did not trust Nymera Sand because she was too close to the Fowler twins, and he could not say who would they confide in.
  • Jeyne and Jennelyn Fowler, older than Arianne, stayed with her on the Water Gardens for some time.
