When Melisandre has the castle sept at Dragonstone burnt, Ser Hubard leads his three sons to defend it. They slay four of the queen's men before being overcome. Hubard and one of his sons are killed, while the other two are imprisoned alongside Septon Barre and Lord Guncer Sunglass.[1]
A Storm of Swords
Hubard's remaining sons are burned alive by Queen Selyse Florent and Melisandre on Dragonstone while Stannis is fighting the Battle of the Blackwater.[2]
