Biography

Jeor, previously Lord of Bear Island, joined the Night's Watch to allow his son Jorah to take his place. As Lord Commander he was called the Old Bear. Mormont was killed by his own men during a mutiny after a crushing defeat at the Fist of the First Men while investigating the deaths of First Ranger Benjen Stark and those who had been sent to find him.
