King of the Rivers and the Hills was a title used by some kings of the riverlands prior to their conquest by the Storm Kings. King of the Trident was another title in use.
Houses Blackwood and Bracken previously ruled as First Men kings in the Riverlands during the Age of Heroes.[1] House Mudd ruled from the Trident to the Neck and reigned as River Kings for a thousand years before the Andal invasion.[2] House Mudd were the last of the First Men to rule the Trident.[3] House Teague claimed the title after the Andal invasion; five successive kings from the house were slain in the Battle of Six Kings, after which the riverlands were claimed by the Storm King Arlan III Durrandon.[4]
