Game of Thrones is an American medieval fantasy television series created for HBO by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss, based on the A Song of Ice and Fire novels by author George R.R. Martin. The serie's first season premiered in 2011, and is currently in its sixth season. In April 2016, Game of Thrones was renewed for a seventh season, set to air in 2017.[1]
