==History==
During the [[Dance of the Dragons]], Lord [[Dalton Greyjoy]] landed longships on Fair Isle. Lord Farman was unable to repel the [[ironborn]] attack and retreated to his castle, [[Faircastle]], where he sent out pleas for help. No one came, however, and Faircastle eventually fell to the ironborn in {{Date|130}}.{{Ref|FAB|The Dying of the Dragons - Rhaenyra Triumphant}} The Red Kraken claimed four of Lord Farman's daughters as [[salt wives]], including [[Lysa Farman|Lysa]], while giving the fifth "homely one" to his brother, [[Veron Greyjoy|Veron]].
