History

As a way for House Targaryen to make peace with Dorne after the Conquest of King Daeron I Targaryen, King Baelor I Targaryen arranged the marriage of his nephew, Prince Daeron, to the dornish Princess Myriah. Once Prince Daeron himself was king, he offered his younger sister, Daenerys in marriage to Myriah's brother, Prince Maron Martell, thereby bringing Dorne into the Seven Kingdoms.[1]
