Floris Baratheon was the daughter of Lord Borros Baratheon who lived during the Dance of the Dragons[1] and the reign of King Aegon III Targaryen, later becoming a silent sister.[2] She and her sisters were known as the Four Storms.[2]

Appearance and Character

Lord Borros claimed that his daughter was the cleverest of the Four Storms. She was less comely than her sisters, and grew angry that Prince Aemond preferred them to her.[1]

History

Maris was the daughter of Lord Borros Baratheon of Storm's End and his wife, Lady Elenda. She was the youngest daughter, and had three elder sisters: Cassandra, Ellyn, and Floris.[1] A brother, Lord Olyver, would be born after her father's death.[3] According to Lord Borros, his daughters sometimes fought with each other, but he saw to it that they always made peace afterward.[1]

At the start of the Dance of the Dragons, Prince Aemond Targaryen arrived at Storm's End. Lord Borros offered the hand of any of his daughters, noting that Maris would make a clever wife. Prince Aemond agreed to a betrothal, though the identity of the daughter is not known, save it was not Maris. The lord and prince were haggling over dates and dowries the morning Prince Lucerys arrived, who claimed he could not marry Maris or any of her sisters due to his betrothal to Rhaena Targaryen, and was sent away by Lord Borros.[1]

After Aemond and Lucerys started to confront one another, Maris taunted Aemond, asking if it was his eye that Lucerys had taken, "or one of [his] balls."[1] Aemond was enraged, and took his leave. Mushroom claims that Prince Aemond cut out the eyes from Lucerys's corpse after killing him, and presented them to Maris on a bed of seaweed, though Gyldayn notes that this seems excessive.[1]

By the time of King Aegon III's coronation, Maris had joined the silent sisters. Mushroom claims that Lady Elenda had Maris's tongue removed, but Gyldayn notes that this can be discounted, as their supposedly being tongueless is no more than a myth.[2]
