Merrell the Bold was a landed knight from the Blackwater Rush during the Dance of the Dragons.[1]
History
When the host of blacks led by Ser Garibald Grey and Lord Roderick Dustin marched south from the riverlands to Tumbleton, they were joined by men from the Blackwater Rush, including Merrell. Lord Owain Bourney betrayed Merrell during the First Battle of Tumbleton, stabbing him in the back with his spear and opening the gates of Tumbleton's castle.[1]
