Appearance and Character
Nymeria is twenty-five years old, slim and slender as a willow, with straight black hair worn in a long braid which pulls back from a widow's peak. She has dark eyes, high cheekbones, and full lips.[2] Areo Hotah describes Nym as having pale white skin in A Feast for Crows[2] but mentions her olive skin in A Dance with Dragons.[3] Nymeria has all the beauty that her elder sister Obara Sand lacks [2] but is no less deadly. She usually can conceal a dozen daggers on her person and is extremely skilled with the blades.
Recent Events
A Feast for Crows
Nymeria was abed with the Fowler twins, Jeyne and Jennelyn, when she was told of the death of her father, Prince Oberyn Martell.
Accompanied by a dozen mounted spearmen, she meets Prince Doran Martell, the Prince of Dorne and Oberyn's elder brother, en route to Sunspear. Nym dmands vengeance for the death of her father and rejects the offer Tywin Lannister made Doran for Gregor Clegane's head; as she received a raven from Daemon Sand in which he told her how Gregor was poisoned by Oberyn and is now dying.[2] She wants to assassinate Lord Tywin Lannister, his children Queen Cersei and Ser Jaime Lannister, and his grandchild, King Tommen Baratheon. After visits from Nym's other sisters, Doran has the Sand Snakes arrested and confined in the Spear Tower of Sunspear.[2]
A Dance with Dragons
Nym and her sisters are released and are present at the feast at Sunspear when Ser Balon Swann presents the head of Ser Gregor Clegane to Prince Doran. She wears a gown of yellow silk so thin candlelight shines right through it to reveal the spun gold and jewels beneath, making Swann seem unconfortable of looking at her. When Swann tells the manner of Gregor Clegane's death, Nymeria celebrates his suffering. She refuses to drink when Ricasso raises a toast to King Tommen. Doran sends Lady Nymeria to King's Landing to take the vacant Dornish seat on the small council.[3]
Quotes
Four lives will suffice for me. Lord Tywin's golden twins, as payment for Elia's children. The old lion, for Elia herself. And last of all the little king, for my father. [...] Only royal blood can wash out my father's murder.[2]

Quotes about Nymeria
Nymeria was least dangerous when nearly naked. Elsewise she was sure to have a dozen blades concealed about her person. [3]
