Queen's Men are members of Stannis Baratheon's court that have converted to the faith of R'hllor. They stick closely to Queen Selyse, who was the first to convert, and are so named after her. They are strong supporters of the red priestess Melisandre. Calling them the "Queen's" men alludes to the fact that Melisandre is much closer to Stannis than Selyse, and implies that Melisandre is more of a queen than Selyse. Those of Stannis's men that hold to their worship of the Seven are alternately called King's Men.[1] They often have a fiery heart, the emblem of the Lord of Light, embroidered on their breasts signifying their allegiance.[2]
