The Red Oarsman is an ironborn raider. One of Euron Greyjoy's captains or sworn swords.[2] His given name is unknown.

Recent Events
A Feast for Crows
The Red Oarsman joins with Euron Greyjoy when the Crow's Eye declares himself King of the Iron Islands.[4] He is listed as one of Euron's supporters at the kingsmoot.[1]
As part of the plan to draw the lords of the Shield Islands away from their isles, Torwold Browntooth and the Red Oarsman are sent up the river Mander with a dozen of the fastest longships as bait by King Euron. Once the island lords begin chasing, he is to turn around and come back to the mouth of the Mander where the rest of the ironborn wait. After the taking of the Shields, the Red Oarsman is sent by Euron to gather more supplies for the planned voyage to Slaver's Bay.[5]
