Rickon Stark was a member of House Stark, the eldest son and heir of Lord Cregan Stark and Lady Arra Norrey. He married Jeyne Manderly, with whom he had two daughters, Serena and Sansa Stark.[3]
History
Early life
Rickon Stark was born in 128 AC, the firstborn son of Lord Cregan Stark and Lady Arra Norrey, who died giving birth to him. Cregan named his son after his father, Lord Rickon Stark. When the Dance of the Dragons begun in 129 AC, Prince Jacaerys Velaryon gained Lord Cregan's support in the war with the Pact of Ice and Fire, to be sealed with a marriage. Under the terms of the pact, the first daughter Jacaerys sired would be sent north at the age of seven, to be fostered at Winterfell until she was of age to marry young Rickon.[2] However, Jacaerys died childless at the Battle of the Gullet in early 130 AC.[4]
In 132 AC, after Lord Cregan remarried to Lady Alysanne Blackwood, the young Rickon sang a song for his new stepmother at the feast that followed the wedding.[5]
Conquest of Dorne
Rickon fought beneath the Targaryen banner when the Young Dragon, King Daeron I Targaryen, sought to conquer Dorne. He fought bravely, his deeds sometimes reported by Daeron in his Conquest of Dorne. Rickon's death outside of Sunspear in one of the final battles was lamented in the north for years to come because of the troubles that dogged the reigns of his half-brothers.[1]
