Rook's Rest is the seat of House Staunton in the Crownlands. It is located to the northeast of King's Landing, on the shore opposite Dragonstone.[1]

History

During the Dance of the Dragons, Criston Cole laid siege to Rook's Rest. Lord Staunton watched as his surrounding holdings were destroyed. After nine days a dragon called The Red Queen arrived with Rhaenys Targaryen on her back. Criston, serving as bait, fought the dragon with artillery until Aegon II's dragons showed up.
