Appearance and Character
Sigorn is said to look like his father, albeit younger and shorter: lean, with grey eyes and a receding hairline that makes him look older than his years. He wears bronze greaves and a leather shirt sewn with bronze scales.[2] He and his people take pride in the fact that they are Thenns, who have lords and laws, unlike the other free folk. Jon Snow notes that despite his fierceness, he is surprisingly tender with his new wife.[3]
Recent Events
A Feast for Crows
After the death of his father at Castle Black, Sigorn inherited the title of Magnar of Thenn.[1]
A Dance with Dragons
He kneels before King Stannis after passing through the wall. He is reluctant to join the Night's Watch after the death of his father. Jon eventually devises a plan to wed Sigorn to Alys Karstark, the current heir of Harrion Karstark.[3] Alys is fleeing from a forced marriage arranged by her uncle Arnolf.[4] After their wedding, Sigorn becomes the founder of the newly styled House Thenn.[3]
