Sour Alyn is present in the great hall of the Dreadfort when Big Walder and Little Walder Frey bring Theon Greyjoy before Ramsay Bolton, who is joined by Arnolf Karstark and Hother Umber.[4]
Alyn and Skinner toss a freerider from the Battlements Gate of Winterfell after the man angers Ramsay.[5] Sour Alyn and Grunt are on guard at the door of Ramsay's bedchamber when the spearwives go with Theon to rescue "Arya Stark" (actually Jeyne Poole).
