To clarify, at first glance the tourney would have been held at Maidenpool in 103 AC, when Viserys took the throne. Criston Cole was twenty-three when he joined the Kingsguard in 105 (the same year Aemma was pregnant again), making him twenty-one in 103 AC. However, TRP states Rhaenyra was born in 97, was six when Viserys took the throne in 103, and was seven at the time of the tourney, indicating Maidenpool honored Viserys in 104, right? That's the way I read it. Makes me think that Jaehaerys might have died late in the year (just as Viserys I would die early in 129AC). Rhaenyra's age is the mark here, she cannot have been 7 in 103AC, which is why I had changed it to 104AC. Criston's age, and when he's supposed to be 23, now become a bit vague.
Also, the tourney is not held in KL itself, but in Maidenpool, and would thus have been held a little while after Viserys had ascended. A mourning period for Jaehaerys would also have been needed. I see no problem with the tourney having taken place in 104AC, instead of 103AC, especially since Rhaenyra's age during the tourney makes 103AC impossible.--Rhaenys_Targaryen 18:32, 20 June 2014 (UTC)
