Timett son of Timett, also known as Timett One-Eye, is a Red Hand, a type of warleader, of the Burned Men, one of the most feared of the clans of the Mountains of the Moon.

Appearance

He is a tall fierce young man with a burned eye.

History

During the rite of manhood for his clan, Timett burned one of his eyes out of its socket with a hot knife. Because the typical sacrifice for the rite is a nipple or finger, the impressed clan elders immediately named him a Red Hand of the tribe. Timett was very young for this position, but he inspired fear even among his fellow clansmen.[1]

Recent Events

A Game of Thrones

Before the age of twenty, Timett joined the group of clansmen who chose to follow Tyrion Lannister and join the army of Tywin Lannister. He served as the leader of the Burned Men in the group.[2] He fought in the Battle of the Green Fork, vaulting from his horse when it died during the charge. After the battle, he looted the bodies of the slain with his Burned Men.[3]

A Clash of Kings

Timett then followed Tyrion to King's Landing. He became one of Tyrion's chief enforcers, along with Bronn and Shagga, during Tyrion's tenure as Hand of the King.[4] Before the Battle of the Blackwater, Tyrion sent Timett with the rest of the remaining clansmen to the Kingswood, where he raided enemy forces.

A Storm of Swords

He attempted to return to serve Tyrion, but was driven off because of Tyrion's injury. He then returned with his men to the Mountains of the Moon.[5] When Sandor Clegane attempted to enter the Mountains, he was warned off by the locals, one of them stating how ferocious the mountain clans had become after Timett's return.[6]

A Feast for Crows

Timmett is listed as a clan chief of the Burned Men.[7]
