Walda is described as a round pink butterball of a girl, with watery eyes, a huge bosom and limp yellow hair. Her voice is thin and squeaky.[3]
Recent Events
A Clash of Kings
Walda is mentioned to have wed Lord Roose Bolton and frequently sends him letters which he reads and burns afterwards without ever replying. Her grandfather, Lord Walder Frey, offered Roose his prospective bride's weight in silver for her dowry. He chose the fattest available female member of House Frey.[4]
A Storm of Swords
Walda is present at the Red Wedding.
A Feast for Crows
Walda travels north with her husband after the Red Wedding along with his army and her kin, Aenys Frey and Hosteen Frey.
A Dance with Dragons
Walda is present at the wedding of Ramsay and "Fake Arya". She is currently pregnant.
Roose tells Theon Greyjoy that he has become oddly fond of his fat little wife. His two previous wives never made a sound in bed but Walda does, which he finds quite endearing. He thinks she has a fertile feel to her. Roose reveals to Theon that if Walda were to give him any children Ramsay would most likely kill them, which Roose states is just as well, since he most likely will not live to see the child reach adulthood. Roose believes child lords are the bane of any house and does not want a child to succeed him as Lord of the Dreadfort.
