Walton, known as Steelshanks Walton for the steel greaves he wears over his long legs, is a captain in service to Lord Roose Bolton.[1] He is blunt, brusque and brutal.[2] In the TV series he is played by Jamie Michie.

Recent Events

A Clash of Kings

Walton is a part of Lord Bolton's force that captures Harrenhal.[3]

A Storm of Swords

Walton commands Ser Jaime Lannister's escort from Harrenhal to King's Landing. Jaime manages to persuade him with the promise of gold to turn back to Harrenhal so Jaime can save Brienne of Tarth. Upon his arrival at King's landing he and his men are rewarded the gold they were promised. They are also given a girl (Jeyne Poole) to serve as a fake Arya Stark to marry Ramsay Bolton and cement the Boltons' claim to Winterfell. Their escort then departs to bring the girl to Lord Roose.[4]

A Dance with Dragons

Walton is present at the wedding of Ramsay Bolton to "Arya Stark". He and his men break up the fight between the Manderlys and Freys when Hosteen Frey attacks Lord Wyman Manderly.
