Widow's Wail is a new Valyrian steel sword created out of House Stark's ancestral blade Ice, along with Oathkeeper. The blade has red and black ripples through the steel and its scabbard is garishly decorated with gold, cherrywood and red leather with golden lions' heads. The eyes of the lions are rubies.[1]
It was given to King Joffrey I as a wedding gift by Tywin Lannister. Upon Joffrey's death, it passed to his younger brother, Tommen I.[2]
