Synopsis
Bran is dreaming. In the dream he is falling. A three-eyed crow is with him and tells him to fly. Bran is afraid and does not know how. The crow tells him to look down and Bran does that. He sees Winterfell and surroundings, his family and parts of the world. Then he turns to the north. He sees the Wall, Jon and forests covered with snow. Finally he looks into something he describes as the Heart of Winter. What he sees makes him cry. The crows says this is why Bran must live; because Winter is coming. Bran has to choose; die or fly.
Bran is about to crash into the ground when he spreads his arms and flies. He is delighted. The crows reacts by pecking at his face, between his eyes. Then suddenly the crow transforms into a serving woman and Bran wakes up.
The serving woman runs away shouting "he is awake". Bran's direwolf jumps on the bed. Bran notices that it has grown. When his brother Robb comes in Bran says he has named his direwolf Summer.
