In 10 AC, Ser Addison was chosen by Queen Visenya Targaryen to be one of the first knights of the Kingsguard when the order was founded by King Aegon I Targaryen.[1] He would serve his king with honor and valor until the end of his life.[3]

Despite his bastard origin, Addison eventually rose to become Lord Commander of the Kingsguard.[2]
