A Clash of Kings

Aggar is one of Theon Greyjoy's crew members. He takes part in the capture of Winterfell and accompanies Theon during the search for Bran Stark and his companions.[1] Aggar, Gelmarr, and Gynir go with Theon and "Reek" and are present for the false execution of Bran and Rickon Stark at the mill on the Acorn Water. Gelmarr dies the night the group returns to Winterfell, while Aggar is found with his throat cut the following day. Gynir is also eventually found dead. Although he has no evidence, Theon condemns Farlen for the deaths and personally executes the kennelmaster. Theon later recollects that Reek was responsible for the murders.[2]

A Dance with Dragons

As more men turn up mysteriously dead in Winterfell Theon Greyjoy thinks to himself that it all seems so familiar, like a mummer show that he had seen before. Except this time the mummers have changed, Roose Bolton is playing the part that Theon once played and the dead mean are playing the parts of Aggar, Gynir Rednose, and Gelmarr the Grim.[3]
